| Our trek began in the typesetting
business in the early 70s. After setting type for print shops for a couple years we moved
our interests into the book typesetting business and later into the desktop revolution. We
actually began messing with telecommunications typesetting in about 1975. We logged on to
SOURCE TELECOMPUTING and were retrieving NEWS articles around the world which were printed
in the Bates College Student Newspaper in Lewiston, Maine |
In addition to
personal business interests, I spent about 4 years as a part-time instructor in the
Graphic Communications Department at Truckee Meadows Community College. Over the past few
years they developed a good program for the graphics communications field, with
instruction in printing and graphics history & today's typesetting programs, PageMaker, Quark, Illustrator,
Photoshop, prepress technologies, etc. |
